Make up is the best way to conceal all those minor flaws on your face. It also adds that extra dazzle to your personality that complements the exclusive dresses you wear in a party. But the secret for perfect make up is not to overdo it. The colors of the eye shadows, lipsticks and blushers should match your skin tone instead of making your face resemble a clown’s.
This does not mean that we are asking you to stop experimenting with your make up. But it is advisable not to do that when you are going to attend an important occasion. The best idea is to try out those different looks at home and ask the mirror which makes you look best.
The first step should be choosing your make up according to your features. Obviously there are few techniques and colors that suit all type of features.
Use those pastel shades especially various tones of pink in your make up as they suit all complexions. Teenagers are free to try out those offbeat colors like orange, gold and silver.
Always use a lip liner that is one shade darker than the color of your lips. Outline the lips along the original lines so that they do not look prominent. Put on two coats of lipstick in order to hide the cracks on the lips. Lip-gloss will add the perfect volume to your lips if they are comparatively thin.
Do not apply the foundation on your entire face. The color of the foundation should be accurately matching to your skin tone and able to conceal the spots and blemishes on the facial skin.
Tweezing the eyebrows is the best way to keep them shapely. But make sure that it should be done professionally without hampering that natural curve. You can use an eye pencil in order to highlight the eyebrows if they are light. But make sure they are not lined with a color that is darker than the original color of the hair. This will spoil the whole make up and make you look artificial.
You are free to use eyeliner to enhance your eyes. But pick up the mahogany or brown instead of the dark black one. Line the upper lid of the eye to get the best look. Often brown eye shadows are used as a substitute to an eye liner.
If your complexion is black then avoid using the light colored compact or foundations. Try to rub your face withy an ice cube before you put on any make up. This will reduce perspiration and make your make up last for longer while. Have faith on these dos and don’ts of make up and start of with your session.
